Why is this site called Rutree.com if its about Jay Hollums?

As stated above Jay was a big Dungeons and Dragons fan.  His mother was in charge of the gifted and talented program at his local school (she is a retired science teacher).  She found out about a game that allowed children to use their imagination (something Jay had plenty of) so she bought it for him.  He loved it and incorporated his friends and brother into playing the game.  Very early on as a child Jay chose Rutree to be the name one of his characters.  He said the name was symbolic to him.  He said that the Ru in Rutree stood for the roots of a tree.  The part of the tree that grows deep and provides stabilty and the tree itself symbolized strength of life.  So in other words his character was to embody the stabilty and strength of life.  Pretty profound for a child but that was Jay.

The second part of the story explains why rutree.com is rutree.com.  Ever since the time he created the name he used it for almost every character he had (typically in Dungeons and dragons use new names for new characters) and then he also began to use it as a user name for websites.  If you search for Rutree on the internet you will find Jay.  He might be masquading as a wizard but none the less it's Jay.

So, Rutree.com is just another way to express Jay's amazing stability and strength when it came to life.
